I Kid you not #school

My son goes to a Montessori school where the essence of learning stems from the line "every child is different". It is a school that goes to great lengths to reinforce this message to parents when we interact over the school year, both in person and embedded in their communication. Yet, in the 4 and a half years Arjun has been at Headstart(and he loves everyday of school), every single School-Parents interaction throws up enough evidence to point out that even if parents want their kids in a new, gentler, warmer atmosphere of learning… they themselves need to be treated the way Older schools treat parents, firm and autocratic.
Not engaging and collaborative. The idea of "Community" brings out the inner Community President, Community Treasurer and Community Manager in people,
Not to forget, the inner Community Idiot.
