Why indeed!

Gloria Orrigi, whose name is mis-spelt ever so often,a specialist in the philosphy of the mind bases her research around the question, “Why does life suck so much?”. The can of worms her research opens is expectedly unpleasant and is headlined rather unfortunately, under the title ‘Kakonomics’. Kako comes from greek for ‘harsh’, no not the Indian boy name but the english word that traces its etymology to Scandinavian usage.

In the Middle Ages a walkabout into a Scandinavian cul de sac would’ve definitely found your chin getting the ‘Harske’ (rough, coarse, harsh) end of an Olafsson or Gustaffsson.
