What do you say to a short series of new age fables centered around an Hyderabadi Old city Philosopher with a name inspired by Paulo Coelho… Pulao Khalo Chicha.
Pulao Khalo Chicha will greet everyone at his door with the call to action “Pulao Khalo bhaiii” or “Pulao Khalo Khaansaab”. On being turned down by a well fed seeker of knowledge he will proceed to say gracefully, “Khaliye? Aaajaophir, baithku baataan kar lenge”.In case the seeker at his door shows an inclination for a meal he will be inundated with a mountain of delicious pulao served with skewers of the most lovingly cooked lamb. Like the Buddha said, feed a hungry man, before serving his appetite for knowledge. On another note wonder what Buddha said about serving up a horny man..
